I would however love to have a 4 foot Bismark!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26773117.post-6425892107838210372013-03-29T21:49:03.729+00:002013-03-29T21:49:03.729+00:00As a kid I loved making Airfix model kits to go wi...As a kid I loved making Airfix model kits to go with my plastic toy soldiers... great fun! <br />And of course then you get clever with a heated pin and add bullet holes in the plastic etc...<br /><br />But after a while you realise where are you going to put them all. a ceiling can only hold so many planes, and tanks and ships take up a lot of windowsill and shelf space!<br /><br />I think thgats where I switched a wargamer in that at least the models you made had a use and were not just display pieces...<br /><br />Now I indulge my plastic kit building needs, with the range from The Plastic Soldier Company for Flames of War. <br />Enough plastic to have you have to snip it out and glue it all together, yet not too detailed that you are there forever doing it, and a quick entry to the battlefield with an actual in game use for them too!<br /><br />Perfect!<br /><br />My greatest feat with kits like that Lancaster or Bismark, is that you get all enthused, get part way into it, lose interest and then its just a pile of expensive unloved bits that take up space and probably never will get finished...<br /><br />Well done on the resisting!<br /><br />Have a good Easter!Scottswargaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00581220877007982139noreply@blogger.com
