Warfare is always very much a club show - you'd really struggle to be inspired by any of the "demonstration" games - but there was a good selection of traders and I came away with a few bits and pieces (as always!). Scotch Woodcock also brings back lots of memories - when I joined the Navy in the 70s, dinner in the evening would always include a savoury course (a very bizarre concept to a young Northerner!) Others included "Devils on Horseback" (Prunes wrapped in bacon on toast) and "Shit on a Raft" (which involved kidneys and toast).
