Paint Table Saturday has transformed my painting this year to the extent that I have painted as many figures in six months as I did for the whole of last year.
I am concerned, however, that Sofie, the originator of the idea, hasn't posted for two months. Does anyone know if she is alright?
Anyway, some more work on my Afghans this weekend.
Legatus, I checked Sofia's Google+, and she is working on lots of craft-related stuff, the latest of which she shared yesterday, so it would appear she's having a spell away from the brushes.

ReplyDeleteThe idea of paint table Saturday I am certain was derived from the ancient, venerable and entirely sensible idea of the practice of gladius training. If it happens at a regular, fixed time, the benefits will be enormous - as you have proven with your painting regimen.

DeleteBut from which period? The history of Western Rome offers some four centuries of Republican organization, three snturies or so of the Early and Mid- Imperial Army and, of course, a minimum of a hundred and fifty years or so of the late Empire. What is a poor painter to do?

DeleteI don't fully understand Google + either and there is a good chance it will be dismantled next year anyway as it been a dismal failure for Google. Nice to know Sophie is ok.
