I enjoyed my first game of Lion Rampant at Eric the Shed's the other week so am going to build my first force for the rules: Carolingians. You can read about it on my Dark Ages blog here.
Very nice start to what I'm sure will be a stunning "retinue" - if that's a bit anachronistically named for a Carolingian force :) For the record, I think Lion Rampant is perfect for starting "armies" one would otherwise be hesitant to build. due to the relatively small number of figures needed. I've even seen some folks playing half-sized units of 3 and 6 figures with good results.
